These terms are an agreement between you and Alphabits ("we", "us"). They cover the Alphabits app and getalphabits.com. By using them you agree to these terms.
Apple App Store
If you download Alphabits from the App Store, Apple's standard terms for App Store apps also apply to you.
Using Alphabits
We give you a personal, non-commercial, revocable license to use the app and site. Do not copy, reverse engineer, resell, or misuse them, and do not use them to break the law or harm others.
Wellness, not medical advice
Alphabits provides audio for relaxation and focus. It is not a medical device or medical advice, and the effect of binaural beats varies from person to person. Do not use it while driving or operating machinery. Keep the volume at a comfortable level. Consult a doctor first if you have epilepsy, a seizure disorder, a heart condition, or are pregnant, and stop using the app if you feel unwell.
Alarms
The sleep wake feature is a convenience and is not a replacement for a reliable alarm. Keep your regular alarm set when you need to wake at a specific time.
Subscriptions and purchases
Paid features are billed through your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends, and a free trial, if offered, converts to a paid subscription unless canceled before it ends. Manage or cancel in your iOS Subscription settings. A lifetime purchase, if offered, is a one-time payment. Refunds are handled by Apple.
Our content
The app, site, art, characters, audio, and code belong to us or our licensors. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
Disclaimer
Alphabits is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the extent allowed by law.
Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss that exceeds the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Ending use
You can stop using Alphabits at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Changes
We may update these terms and will post changes here with a new effective date. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
